Album by Trouble
This leans into that old-school metal sound — melody, guitar solos, slower builds — but it feels like a rock album first. Think more Black Sabbath than Metallica.
There’s a real sense of structure and space here. The songs take their time, letting riffs settle in before opening up into solos or bigger moments. It’s not trying to overwhelm you — it’s more about locking into a groove and staying there.
There’s also a bit of a strut to it. It reminded me of bands like Rainbow — that same confident, melodic approach where everything feels deliberate and controlled.
A few tracks stood out along the way. “At the End of My Daze” sets the tone early, “Psychotic Reaction”, “The Misery Show”, and “Black Shapes of Doom” were also highlights for me.
It’s not really my personal lane, but I can hear how well it’s put together. The songwriting is solid, the performances are tight, and it knows exactly what it wants to be.
Verdict: Worth a Spin
