I Will Find You never suddenly becomes a better television show.
The dialogue remains clunky. Several performances never rise above melodrama, with accents that seem to drift in and out depending on the scene. The series treats geography as more of a suggestion than a rule, sending characters from Maine to Boston to New York to Florida and back again in what feels like a single afternoon. People survive injuries that should sideline them for weeks, only to show up in another city looking perfectly fine.
By the finale, the story has stretched credibility so far that it barely remembers where it started.
And somehow…I was still hooked.
The series has an almost reckless commitment to momentum. Every episode introduces another twist that’s somehow even more outrageous than the last. I stopped believing the story long before I stopped wanting to know what happened next.
One thing I Will Find You does well is spread the investigation across multiple characters. While Sam Worthington searches for answers, his father, his friend, and even the FBI are independently uncovering pieces of the puzzle. Too often mysteries rely on a single brilliant investigator while everyone else gets in the way.
When I reviewed the premiere, I compared I Will Find You to a bag of potato chips. That still feels right.
I couldn’t call this a good show.
But it was damn entertaining.
